Music InvolvementIf you are in grades 2-5, jump in and SING! Thursdays during the school year from 4:00—5:00 pm, Joyful Sounds practices at Christ downstairs in Meeting Space 3. They sing in church services, both Blended & Room211, once a month, and share their gifts in festivals, concerts and in local nursing homes.
You don't have to sing wonderfully, you just need to have a willing heart. We sing fun and strange warm-ups, talk a lot about how we can help our voices sound rich and full, and how music really shapes our insides. The added blessing of getting to sing about our faith is something that you simply cannot overestimate! All members and friends of members are welcome!
Director Rebecca Fisher is a certified K-12 vocal music teacher who has directed numerous children’s choirs in southern California, St. Louis, and Orange County CA. She currently serves as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Christ.
Accompanist Chara Sype is a certified K-12 music education and piano performance major who also plays the guitar and is part of the Praise Band at Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She spends her days here at Christ caring for and sharing Jesus with our 4 year olds.
