Holmes Elementary / Christ Lutheran Community Garden

The Holmes Elementary / Christ Lutheran Community Garden is a joint venture between our congregation and a school in our central campus neighborhood. The garden provides an opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s love to others in our community by increasing food security, providing fresh healthy produce to those that otherwise might not have access to it, and to help children and families learn gardening skills. The garden consists of twelve raised beds located on the northwest corner of the Holmes Elementary property at 52nd and Sumner Streets (just east of Bryan Hospital). The garden is led by Master Gardeners Dianne Petersen and Don Kneifl, and garden coordinator, Sarah Jones.

Consider adding the Community Garden to your giving portfolio. We accept gifts large and small as well as garden implements and supplies.  Make checks payable to Christ Lutheran Church, designate "Community Garden.”
